CARSON, Los Angeles County — 2026 election update. Only 59 votes separate the two candidates in Carson’s District 4 City Council contest in the current unofficial results.
Reported results
John Hollaway has 2,550 votes (50.59%), compared with 2,491 (49.41%) for Arleen Rojas. In separate District 2, Jim Dear leads Derek Haskell 3,720 to 1,177.
What voters decided
Districts 2 and 4 are different geographic electorates. The District 4 margin could change as county election workers process additional eligible ballots; it is not a final winner declaration. Carson’s Measure CU is another independent ballot question and should not be conflated with council races.
Reporting and verification
These numbers are from the November 2026 live election results listing available following the November 3 vote. The displayed table is subject to change, and its page publication date is not necessarily the update timestamp of every individual contest. This article does not claim that an official November 5 ballot batch has been independently confirmed. Los Angeles County is continuing the official canvass and will certify its results later.
