CARSON, Los Angeles County — Carson residents planning a large picnic, athletic event or community gathering must check which agency operates the intended park before seeking a reservation.
How does a city booking work?
The Carson Recreation and Human Services reservation office is at 18601 S. Main Street, with published business hours of Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.. The city states that park facility reservations must be made through this office, not directly with an event vendor.
Can groups reserve a larger indoor site?
The city describes the Veterans SportsComplex as the only Carson park facility capable of hosting a 200-person event without a catering-company contract. It also notes a facility policy allowing an indoor inflatable at that complex, not necessarily at every city venue.
Why can’t Carson reserve Victoria Park?
The reservation page specifically says Victoria Park is operated by Los Angeles County, not the City of Carson. County reservations therefore have a different contact and rules: (310) 217-8370.
Call Carson reservation staff at (310) 847-3570 for fees, insurance requirements, facility capacity and available dates. A submitted application does not guarantee a confirmed booking.
