CARSON, Los Angeles County — Carson’s Senior Recreation program serves people 50 and older, according to the city’s recreation directory, with its main office in the East Wing of the Carson Event Center, 801 E. Carson Street.
What services are available?
The department lists exercise classes, health information, seasonal events and senior clubs. Its Elito Santarina Senior Technology Center has 10 computer workstations and offers introductory and intermediate computer education for qualifying participants.
How do the clubs work?
The city publishes regular social-club schedules, including bingo and card groups. Some independently operated activities charge a fee; a municipal venue does not mean every class is free.
Where can seniors register?
The Senior Recreation office lists Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m., with inquiries at (310) 952-1782, extension 1479. Participation rules differ by class and activity. The city states that a care provider accompanying a participant must remain with the participant throughout the program.
Certain tax-assistance information on the city page dates from older seasons and must not be treated as a currently scheduled November 2026 appointment. Ask staff about active classes.
